Hi Clownman - As far as bench pressing goes, you can bring it anywhere from 1"-3" off the chest, but definitely you DON'T want to bounce it off your chest. When I do incline bench, I bring it to lower neck, upper chest. I think the adam's apple is a little too high. Also, you need to do 3 ...

Dumbell flys target somewhat of a different muscle than barbell bench presses. Bench pressing using a lot of triceps as well. Try doing some tricep kickbacks with dumbells and see if one arm is stronger than the other.

Sounds like one side is overcompensating for the other. When you were using dumbells, did the same thing happen?

I agree with Bossman, but to add a lot of people who post don't necessarily give their gender. Posting in this section helps us determine what you are. Most female needs are different than needs and it helps to address them seperately. It doesn't at all mean that women can't post in all areas of the...

It's probably normal for soup, having 600mg's of sodium. It should be fine as long as you don't take in much the rest of the day.

After rereading what I wrote, I did mean get rid of the pushups till failure and throw the incline into the mix, not in addition too. Giving him 12 sets 2x a week.

For triceps do the following. Pushups (multiple variations) Weighted Dips Pulldowns Bent over kickbacks Close grip flat bench Shoulders - Arnold Press (look it up but basically a shoulder press w/ an extra at the bottom) Shrugs Cleans Front and side raises. Hope that helps to get you somewhat in line.

I don't think it is too much overtraining but I would get a decline bench in there instead of the inclined pushups.

Chicken cordon bleu is usually a pretty fattening food. If you make your own, make sure to use low/non fat cheese. I would probably just exclude it.

Just go with baked chicken for the protein. The soup could be very high in sodium, check on that. Gum is fine, doesn't add any value at all.

Go ahead and post a normal daily diet so we can get an idea of where to start. Diet needs to be right before we can talk weights... As far as your goal, it is good to have one and yours isn't out of reach by any means. Most everyone on this site is very willing to help and be supportive. Stick with ...

So I did inverted rows last night, actually a fun exercise. I guess you can probably have someone add weights to your stomach if it becomes too easy.

Also, chin ups with falms facing you correct?

Lats

What does everyone recommend for the best lats? That seems to be the area I have the most trouble with. I am doing V-grip pulldowns, BB rows, not seeing any improvement in Lats.

Any ideas?

Thanks
