don't know what kind of program I need to be doing
I am interested in dropping some weight and toning up. I want to start lifting weight. I do have a gym membership but I am more interested in being able to weight lift at home with 5-10 pounds dumbbells. I never know what to do. Can anyone give me some good advice on what types of exercises I should...

First of all you need to start running. I did a 5K in 2006 it was a lot of fun but still if your not prepared for it it's exhausting. I would say get to the gym at least 5 days a week to run personally I think you will do better performance wise if you run outside. Treadmills soften the blow to your...

Are you a runner? I need your help!!!!
Saturday I am going to do a 12k which is 7.4 miles. First of all ever since I have gotten close to the day runs have become crappy and all I think about when I am running is maybe I shouldn't have even signed up. What I am experiencing is really tight crampy legs both of them. I have always had cram...

help starting weight training
I am trying to incorporate weight training into weekly exercise schedule. The problem is when I go to do weight training I get lost as to what I should be doing. There are so many different exercises but a lot of them basicly seem to be the same. I use 5-10 lb weights at home I do have a gym members...

preparing for a 12k run
I have about 8 days until I do first 12k. Although I have been running since 2006 I am just recently increasing mileage from 4 miles to 8 and I am scared to death of race day. What happens if I get out there and I can't do it? Or I am the last person to finish? I am scared I don't know the course si...

I agree I think warming up is more important than stretching before you run it it really important to stretch post run and trust me it feels so good after. I also think getting a good running shoe is very important. I could never go run without having a shoe made for running. I do like Nike running ...

I admire you for how far you have already came. I do both power walking and I run at least 5 days a week. Although I am really more into running I can tell you that when I have those off days where I just don't feel like running I will power walk and it really reaks reward. I am sore throughout behi...

All you have to do is keep track of the calories your eating daily then subtract 500 calories from that total and you will lose given you are choosing to eat the right kind of foods. Then when you plateau and you wanna lose more weight take off another 500 and so on. Don't get caught up in the numbe...

Ok so I am no professional but I will say this slimfast is meant as a meal replacement which means you should drink them by themselves not with any type of other food. By your meal plan not to be ugly but giving you sound advice I can tell you your eating way to many processed foods. First off chees...

opinion but craisins are not good for you they have a ton of sugar in them. Go for the spray dressings they have far less calorie and fat next to none really(wish bone). Be weary of eating pretzels to often they have alot of salt. I agree about the corn it's not digested correctly and has no value ...
