Re: Quick question

knee is in perfectly fine shape for walking and even running, its just putting a load on it that causes any problem. The doctor wanted me to go to physical therapy, but after third visit it became clear that I was wasting time.

Quick question

I have been doing a 5x5 routine for a while now and am getting good results and good muscle gains. I want to keep the ball rolling but recently tweaked knee just a tad. I have very very limited pain. The biggest thing that i am getting from the sprain is that i am getting swelling. The biggest part ...

One thing thats been bugging me for a while.

Lets say i change routine up and it causes a day or two of being extra sore. Is it acceptable to take an asprin or ibprophen to get by for a couple days. boss doesnt take "i worked out too hard" as an excuse for reduced performance at work.

Re: Its been a while

If im not mistaken I think it is the pre p90x program. Everyone I work with is obsessing over p90x but I don't think fitness level is quite where it needs to be to try it. I watched one of the videos today and it looks a little cheesy but also looks like it could be effective.

Re: Just wondering.

I understand your logic there Swanso but the only muscles that are giving me problems are the ones that i use when i squat like quads. Other then that everything seems fine. back is a little sore but nothing i cant deal with. But legs hurt so bad i can barely get upstairs to bedroom. I have been sle...

Re: Just wondering.

it would just seem that as far as working out goes i need a routine.....if i stray from that routine i have a hard time getting back into it.

Re: Just wondering.

eh i just cut the workouts way back instead of doing 5 sets of 5 reps i lowered it to 3x5 at about 1/3 the weight. Im afraid that if i dont keep on it ill get lazy again and have trouble getting myself back to the gym after the week off. I hope this isnt detrimental to results.

Re: Still not getting results i want........

hmm someone needs to tell me about cottage cheese......is it good, bad or indifferent? Sudden craving and i think if its not bad could make its way into regular diet.
