Clueless about cereal/oatmeal.

Okay, being filipino, I've never EVER had anything else as a carb source for breakfast other than RICE. I know, RICE ain't that bad for you but I wanna try cereal/oatmeal for a change. I'm not taking them solely, I'm also eating whole wheat bread and some veggies. I know I haven't been to the forums...

are fried foods really that bad?

Compared to sugar/junk foods, deep fried stuff really THAT bad?

I mean it's still protein right? I'm not talking about french fries or anything from fast food joints, I'm talking about fish, beef, pork etc. And I use vegetable oils to cook it so I guess that at least counts for something?

I'd choose protein powders over bars. The simple reason being that it digests alot faster. Plus what Bossman said, some bars are full of horse piss ingredients. If you're gonna buy loads of it, choose the all natural ones.
