Compared to sugar/junk foods, deep fried stuff really THAT bad?

I mean it's still protein right? I'm not talking about french fries or anything from fast food joints, I'm talking about fish, beef, pork etc. And I use vegetable oils to cook it so I guess that at least counts for something?

Deep frying is bad really. Not only do some places use Saturates, but they cook the heck out of the food, so you lose a lot of the nutrition, and denature quite a bit of the Protein.

If you were using what you're talking about, to fry a bit of food in a frying pan, that isn't really that bad.

Not absolutely horrible, however, if you choose to fry anything opt for olive or peanut oil vs. vegetable

Good call Boopster.

Also definitely look at Coconut Oil as an option, as Coconut Oil is the most heat stable of all Oils.

Don't necessarily be fooled by EVCO. To knowledge calling it Extra Virgin is just a marketing gimmick, and not actually a patented, or true industry recognised brand name, in the same way as EVOO is.
