Re: Full body workout change?

3x10 worked out great. The increase in strength was incredible. Yesterday was weight day, so i tried switching it up a little bit. Instead of doing 3x10, i lowered the weight (slightly) and did 5x5's or 5x6's. I changed up chin/pullups and dips to lower reps, much slower and a longer pause. I am afr...

Full body workout change?

In an attempt to make this question as short as possible i will summarize. Ive been doing full body 3x a week for about 6 months. Off days i do calisthenics, kettlebells, heavy bag, plyos, body weight, etc. Ive hit plateaus but pushed past by adding weight and improving form in some cases. weight da...

Re: weight training

High protein diet. Get yourself a pull up bar. Tons of Pull/Chin ups will take care of your back and arms. Use the barbell for deadlifts and squats. Tons of push ups for your chest, and diamond pushups for your tri's. Do this every other day. I wouldn't waste time with too much arm or shoulder worko...

Re: New Challenges

New Challenges

I hit a plateau and can't get out! Let me start by giving routine. (short version) M-W-F: GYM Total body workout, no isolations; deadlifts, chest presses, rows, tons of pull/chin ups and dips, etc.. After a set, I try to work out an opposing muscle. ie: If I am doing bench press, in between sets I w...

remember, power comes from speed. Don't go all out trying to break the bag. I messed up wrist a while back from swinging out of control. Keep your elbows in and focus on making the bag "pop". Try doing rounds also. I usually do four 5 minute rounds with a 60 second rest in between. Work yo...

Breathe out through your nose at every strike. Contract your abs at every strike. Work in some outside and inside leg kicks. Start light until you get used to it and your balance adjusts. Make sure you are properly wrapping your hands and using gloves. Not MMA gloves either. Use boxing gloves.

Usually about once a week. What about fruits? What are the best fruits to bring for mid day snacks? Ive heard some fruits ...

Thanks for the input guys. Much appreciated. Ive seen some really interesting routines using bells, but am a little hesitant using them. It seems like a good way to injure yourself if you dont use them properly. If anyone a has any info regarding this, please let me know. Another quick q. Im up at a...
