weight training

Post by antz_army »

Im 21 year old student, bout 6foot 60kg..so as u can tell i am tall with no body fat what so eva...skinny as a rake some would say. I want to start weight training working and focusing on arms back and chest. But i really dont kno where to start..i got dumbbells and barbell but i dont have a bench as i am a student finances are hard to come by. Anyone with a work out plan for a "beginner/ skinny sod" or any just ideas would be a boost.
Hope to hear your ideas soon many thanks Antz

thats good its better to be lean then bulk up,okay then try this

monday work your arms, do biceps curls , tricep extensions eithier by lying on the floor or standing up, shoulder shrugs, sholder press eithier standing up or on a bench, and try some hammer curls or wrist curls which ever you want to work out your forearms.

tuesday day off

wednesday back and legs cant leave legs out do some bent over rows, deadlifts, and look for some back exersices on the internet ex. google, and for legs try some squats, leg raises, lunges try doing different variations

thursday day off

friday chest try doing floor press just like a bench press but you lay on the floor followed by some push ups of different variations, chest flyes on floor too since you dont have a bench , and try looking for some more on the internet

get plenty of protein, aim for 1 gram for each pound of body weight and carbs, and just wondering are you taking any supplements or planning on taking some???

High protein diet.

Get yourself a pull up bar. Tons of Pull/Chin ups will take care of your back and arms. Use the barbell for deadlifts and squats. Tons of push ups for your chest, and diamond pushups for your tri's. Do this every other day. I wouldn't waste time with too much arm or shoulder workouts, they will be taken care of with these exercises. It'll be difficult for you to put on any serious size without being able to increase weight as you get stronger. See if you can find a cheap gym to go to. I used to weight lift at home gym but i easily get distracted. I found a cheap gym to go to three times a week, and i do plyometrics/heavy bag/treadmill/jumprope etc. at home now for the other three.

You can lift weights all you want and will never get any bigger unless you eat more. High protein diet is the way to go for muscle growth. If I were you I would just eat everything I could get hands on. Most skinny people just don’t eat enough to get big.

I would agree it would be best to find a cheap gym. If you are a student you should get a good deal. Most schools have gyms in them as well not sure if yours does? If it does that would be best.

You can go to blog and click "beginners." You may want to look up "full body workout" in the search on blog.
