Re: Fell off the wagon and want to get back on.
Thanks guys!! I've been doing pretty good today. I will be starting a "normal" job with "normal" hours where I can control food intake much more next week. I will weigh myself weekly and see what the results are. I'm expecting a 1 or 2 pound drop weekly, so I'm really looking for...

Fell off the wagon and want to get back on.
Wow, first of all I haven't been active with the forums in almost a year. I started a workout routine that involved running, swimming and biking for cardio. I also did full body weight sessions that included squats, push ups, lunges, dumbbell exercises. I was eating relatively well. I was down to 14...

Re: Original recipes, share one with us.
hahaha Oscar, good one!!!
Cassie, well I'm glad you share your knowledge. Btw, I would have never thought of that recipe, sounds very interesting. I will have to try that sometime soon because I have a feeling that eggwhite omelettes are going to get old soon.

Re: Coffee & Soft drinks
Sorry, I don't remember where I read that. It is also said that people with ADHD have an opposite effect with coffee. It's a depressant instead of a stimulant. So if you have ADHD, this might be the reason why coffee has that effect on you. Who knows!

Original recipes, share one with us.
So for those of us who are making an effort at changing our diets realize that all the crap we used to eat can no longer be consumed. So with fewer (I mean a lot) ingredients we have to be a bit more inventive with our cooking/snacking. Would you like to share a recipe you invented and turned out to...

Re: Coffee & Soft drinks
I read an article months ago that talked about caffeine. The article said that if you have caffeine that your body will become tired for the first 20 minutes because it's adjusting to the caffeine. They interestingly said that if you take a 15 minute nap right after you drink coffee that it's the eq...

Re: cleaning up diet... FINALLY.
Thanks Cassie. Oh man, am I sore. I've been trying a piramyd workout and it's a killer. legs/glutes/chest are so sore. I've been doing one hour of lifting and 15 mins of cardio after. I'm really exited to see results but I know I won't see them until after a month at least :) On the nutritional side...

Re: A bit confused.....
If you didn't lift for a week, you will definately be sore the next time you lift. And don't worry about not being able to lift the same. Like you said, you were sick for a week so your body is getting back to normal and it shouldn't take very long to be able to lift like you used to.

Re: cleaning up diet... FINALLY.
Thanks, again. I will go shopping for good-for-you foods. I will do the weights first and cardio after. The thing is I really enjoy a long workout, gives me a feeling of satisfaction. To know that I just ran 5 miles of I just swam 1200+meters makes me feel accomplished. But I don't think I can accom...

cleaning up diet... FINALLY.
I’m 5’5” and I weigh 143 pounds. I’m 24 years old and plan to make more drastic changes to diet. I have changed diet lightly over the past couple years. I’ve cut out soda, salad dressings, and adding sugar to teas or anything. I workout regularly and don’t think I need much improvement there. I do a ...

Take the bat to your head a couple times and grow some muscle there... Sorry to be mean but I don't think deep tissue swelling counts as muscle growth.

Can protein drinks cause liver failure?
So I have just heard that there is a great number of people in the hospital due to liver damage caused by energy drinks and protein drinks. I can believe that about energy drinks, but protein drinks? I asked why protein drinks and I was told that the amount in a drink is way too much for the liver t...

Wow Boss man, thanks for such a detailed response. The first time I read it, it sounded like I could have reduced T V. But then I started thinking of what else I have been doing differently lately other than less aerobic activity.... I have also been taking Omega-3 pills that contain fish oils. And ...

Help me breath better!!!
I'm not sure if I'll get much help from here since it's more of a medical question rather than a fitness question but I'll give it a shot. So in high school I had some trouble breathing deeply, I felt like I had chest pressure. I went to the doctor and they asked if exercise made it worse and I said...
