Gaining Weight!

Ok people, I'm having trouble gaining weight! I'm 5'11" tall and I weigh 170. A quick history: I used to weigh 200 pounds 4 months ago. Ive lost 30 pounds and doubled weight lifting strength in just about every excercise since then. I can do chin up's and pull up's, I do squats and dead lifts. ...

Ok so here is why I'm making all this fuss about dips: left tricep is smaller and weaker then right. left arm is a full inch smaller than right and it really pisses me off. When I do standing triceps extensions I just dont feel a burn. When Im using a two hand tricep excercise like french presses, I...

Right now I'm doing chins 3 time a week and ive been doing each set to failure.. I'm definitely getting strength gains, ive doubled reps in 2 weeks... For some reason I feel that doing the low amount of reps overall is not beneficial so I push it to the limit.

Triceps/Dips

Ok as far as dips go, here are options: bench has removable studs for raising the level of where the bar sits on bench presses. (think decline, flat incline) You can take those studs out and put them on the outside as well, (where the spotter would stand)... so I can do dips there. But the studs are...

Ok so since I'm still struggling with own body weight on chin ups, whats a good rep/set scheme where I should start adding weight?

I'm doing a max of 7 chins in a row but after that I can do 4 the next set and its down hill from there. lol.

Umm everyones a little off subject I think, but thanks... Now Im wondering about hand grip width on chin ups. Im using the close grip right now and in 2 weeks I went from 1 complete chin and being completely spent to 6 reps the first set 5 the second set and 3 and 3 the next 2 sets. What part of the...

if you can't do this then you probaby lack wrist flexibility but if tyou keep doing them they'll stretch out if you really need to try this grip; what is the importance of the grip? I cant keep upper arms parallel to the ground, wrists dont go back that much. I make a 45 degree angle with upper arm...

Bicep Excercises

Throughout the site I have seen a few references to hammer curls or ez bar curls being knocked as a bicep exercise... WHY? I dont much like hammer curls, but the ez bar curls get me REALLY pumped and forearms are sore the next day so I know they are getting stronger. Anyway some insight please on bi...

Are you referring to the carbon dioxide or monoxide that it releases? (i think thats right)... grilling without wood or charcoal and you are really missing out on some GREAT flavor!

Wake-up time ruining diet?

I sleep around 2 or 3 am and wakeup around 12 in the afternoon. I do breakfast as soon as I wake up (egg whites, yogurt or cottage cheese, piece of wheat toast and a couple oz of turkey slices) and then I eat every 2 and a half or 3 hours until post workout meal which is usually at 7 or the latest 8...

Veggies: Steamed vs Raw

I eat a lot of veggies thru the day but the stuff that yields the most nutritional value (broccoli, zucchini ect).. I steam or boil for a couple minutes before I eat them. Am I losing anything when I steam/boil? Some of the stuff is just unbearable to eat often without steaming.
