hi,

I'm a guy in late 20 and about to go 30 in a couple of years, height is 5ft and 7in, and a heavy weight of 220lbs. since being humiliated in the office, i tried best to go on diet and do exercises....... :( :cry: :cry:

i tried not eating rice after 6 pm only fruits and veggies...lessen food to 1/2 the normal...i do push-ups, leg raise, abs crunch everyday and do weight(gym) workout 1 to 2 times a week and resting for 1 whole day every Sunday. :lol:

concern is that. Am i doing it right? i want to have an upright chest and a flat but not ripped abs and i want to loose love handles(they always pinch me, and it makes me feel bad) :( :cry: :cry:

please help me boost self confidence and help me raise ego once again. :(

What foods do you eat and when do you eat them?

What does an exercise routine look like and how many times a week do you do it and on what days?

Think outside of the box. Go to farmers markets. Abs are not made in the gym, they are made in the kitchen.

John,

Have you ever tried counting calories? Though initially tedious, it is the most effective way to lose fat. You also will not have to worry about meal timing, not eating before bed, etc as those are myths that have been dispelled.

I know it is confusing; there is a ton of misinformation in the fitness industry.

But wrt fat loss, if you can practice counting calories for a while (and down the road protein, fat and carbs) you will be able to shed some weight.
