I currently weight 188lbs, 5'10 about 15-18% body fat. I'm doing a pretty intenese 5 day split ave workout about 45-60 minutes using heavy weight, low reps usally to failure.
question is, eating is very good, good balance of protein, fat and carbs but I'm only taking in about 2200-2500 calories per day and about 125-150 of protein. I drink two protein shakes per day, One in the morning and one after workout. According to every calculator I've looked at, I need to be taking in about 3500 cals and 235 protein per day to have good solid gains... I managed to do this for a few weeks but I'm really having problems eating that much food and I really don't want to use a gainer shake with 1200-2500 calories..
seeing as I'm doing low reps to failure what is the probable outcome doing this type of routine only taking in that amount of calories?
Will I slowly gain? or will I slowly lose and get defined? or am I totally confussing body and need to change directions? I hope this is enough info.. I've posted routine for critique and made the adjustments needed.. Mostly added more compound exercises...
thanks in advance and I do apologize for the stupid question in advance..
