Question about Strength Training and Higher Calories

Post by com34x »

Hello Everyone. I am 24 and 155 pounds. Currently trying to gain muscle.

I go to the gym, follow a schedule and workout with heavy enough weights.

I just need help with diet. I already added more protein rich foods and use a protein powder. The problem I am having is trying to get extra calories.

I don't have a huge appetite and trying to get these extra calories literally makes me sick. Do I absolutely need to obtain more calories to gain muscle? At the very least, what happens if I am eating sufficient protein but not enough total calories?

If anyone can give me some advice or offer suggestions please do so.

Thank you.

If you want to gain more muscle eat above maintenance.

If you plateau and it's due to diet, you could train like a mofo for weeks, and never break that plateau.
