16 yrs old girl wants to lose a few pounds

Post by Roach »

Hey guys. Alright, so i know this girl and she's like begging me to tell her how to lose a few pounds. Im certainly not a pro so i figure i can ask people around here.

Ok, so she's 16, 52kg, 5"4 or 5"5 with a bit big thighs/hips, which i think are genetic. She's not eating any breakfast and just kind of eats randomly. I've been reading around the women section, so i understand that a girl needs to have both cardio, interval and weight training in order to lose weight and tone the body up, as well as the diet too. So i was wondering if somebody can elaborate more on this for me, what exactly do i have to do?

This is what i was thinking : a 1800 calories diet, 5-6 meals and try to keep the carb low , tons of veggies and fruits.

For the training :

Day 1 : Long cardio, 30 mins in ellip

Day 2 : Weight. I dont know what exercises shud i recommend her? Its the upper thighs and the hips that look a bit big.

Day 3 : 15-18 mins interval training on treadmill.

Day 4 : Rest

Day 5 : Long cardio, treadmill

Day 6 : Weight.

Day 7 : Rest

I appreciate any opinions and helps :) An example Diet would be nice :)

I understand. What would you have me do instead of interval? Long cardio is monotonous haha :)

Not to mention that she'd more than likely injure herself. It's wise to let muscles, joints and tendons strengthen before doing anything high intensity. Treadmill, jogging, biking, stationary bike, you've got plenty to pick from!

So erm, just do some warm up exercises, some stretching, then do 30 mins on one of the above ?

Should i try like 2-3 mins running/cycling a bit faster, then 2-3 mins cooling down?

And lastly, any diet-related opinions :)
