LOL! thanks Cassie...you guys make a girl feel special! When I'm feelin' low or having a bad day, or when I wake up and someone has parked two suitcases under eyes, I'm gonna come back to this page and read it, so I'll feel better 8)

Over slept this a.m., so no early run...but if the weather stays like it is, then tomorrow morning should make for an awesome run and i won't be in as big a hurry since I am off work. :D
I've been bad today...very bad...a donut for breakfast and 2 chicken fajita enchiladas with sour cream sauce for lunch (awesome, by the way  )...I fell off the wagon and am being dragged underneath today!! ugh! must....regain.....control!!!

For someone of 47, you don't look a day over 40 and what you prove is, that you clearly have always been a beautiful Lady, and good living has helped to promote the beautiful woman on the outside, by making her more beautiful on the inside.

That is the true testament of the hard work you give. It's not faked with surgeries or stupid cosmetic treatments, but hard work and a few simple aesthetic changes, that show people that being a female of a certain age, doesn't mean becoming ordinary and stayed, or blending into the background, but being able to stay in the foreground and make a personal statement if you want to, in a way where people won't judge you, for trying to be much younger than you are and I think in your own way, you have now been doing your thing long enough, to be an inspiration and a rolemodel to younger women, because you're saying that the "life begins" metahpor for life, is true for the believers and you certainly look like a believer.

The best Christmas present you'll get this year, is to see your face and see all the positive and wonderful things it represents about you. A Lady becoming stronger, more confident, more assured and more loving of the skin you're in.

it takes time, but taking that time, makes it more satisfying to achieve.

So WELL DONE and keep on going. You are every inch a true Lady and you're making a great difference to many peoples worlds, with your attitude, personality and achievements. You can certainly be proud of all you have done and all you are Lynne and you are definitely a friend to the people and we think so much of you for it all.

That smile could light up a thousand universes and you deserve it.

:) :).

:D :D :D Thank you Boss Man for the kind words! I do want to be "a rolemodel" for younger & older women - not that I'm perfect (far from it) but just in a way of showing those women that life can be what you make it. Choices you make shape your world, we all know that, but alot of times women kind of "lose" themselves over the years, either from being the "wife" or "mother", putting themselves last and slipping into bad habits, that only make them feel worse about themselves and it is a snowball effect over the years. What I want to try to convey to these women is that deep inside each and every one of them is a warrior. A strong, fierce force to be reckoned with and if they can find a way to let out that warrior, they can begin to see themselves in the way they were meant to be all along - their true person, whole and fit and healthy.
I made some choices in earlier years that were not beneficial for well being, physically or mentally...and paid a price for it by wasting alot of years where I could have been living healthy and reaching all the goals I had always wanted to - before I let "life" and feelings of low self esteem, negative body image, depression, etc. take over and begin to shape world. And what I am trying to do now is show that even if you stumble in life, get on a wrong road, make bad decisions, "let yourself go", whatever it may be that has slowed or stopped your forward progress of being "your true person" that IT IS NEVER TOO LATE to start over and rediscover that warrior inside of you. I mean this from the bottom of heart, so many of us feel that it is an impossible task to overcome, but I am a living testiment to the fact that it is possible, it can be done - not that it is "easy street", it isn't. And it's not to say that I have it all figured out or that I "have arrived", because I haven't. But the journey is well worth it. You can't look back and say "I wish I could have been..." you just need to look ahead and say "I will NOW be!" :D

Todays workout:
Early a.m. run - 25 minutes, quick pace, not sure of the mileage, thinking it was around 2.6 or 2.7 miles. Felt strong, good. Legs still a wee bit sore, but not bad.

Todays meals:
post workout: apple crisps (Pandoras recipe - yummy!) sliced apples topped w/mixture of oatmeal, wheat flour, flax, syrup, cinnamon, nat. PB (microwave 2 minutes)
breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with LF cheese, turkey breast
snack: peanuts, almonds
lunch: grilled chicken sandwich or salad
dinner: tacos w/ homemade guacamole, lf cheese, lf sour cream
snack: pb & celery, carrots

have a great day, night, morning...wherever you may be.

thanks Sandigirl :D
Not much to report in the ways of working out, unless you count walking the local malls and department stores, grocery stores, etc. I think I got weight workout and cardio workout at the same time, navigating grocery cart through the aisles and around other people who never fail to be parked at the one spot I need to get something! Seriously, I was exhausted after that!
Eating hasn't been too bad....hasn't been too good either :(
Breakfast: pan heated ham
snack: almonds, pistachios, peanuts
Lunch: grilled chicken w/onion, peppers, tomatos, potatos, corn
Dinner: Sirloin Steak, pan sauteed onions, 1 slice garlic toast. 1/2 cup WW pasta

tomorrow night I start baking cookies for family....chocolate chunk cookies...Reese's PB cup chunk cookies, & Macadamia nut, white chocolate chip cookies. :D Every year I give each one of siblings and parents a plate of cookies...of course some of those cookies have to be taste tested...and some of them that get misshapen or broken..I keep at home  I play Christmas music while I bake, then we watch Holiday movie classics like "Holiday Inn" or "Miracle on 34th street", or "A Christmas Carol". Good family times. :D
