If you always lift the same amount of weight you aren't forcing your muscles to grow to handle the heavier weights. Upping your weights will force you muscles to grow as long as you're continually challenging them.
Ok good, so, i have a weight training session tomorow, at the end of the session or something i will use the bench press, can i expect getting good sized pecs with the amount of weight, i also may try putting the 2.3kg weights on dumbells for tomorow 8)

It really depends Martin. How many pounds are in 1 kg? I'm at work and don't reallly feel like figuring that one out.

So you would be lifting 2 2.3 kg dumbells? How many times can you push this weight up? To be honest... that amount of weight won't get you huge muscles but its definitely a start. Just keep in mind that it should be HARD to push the weight up. If you can easily bust out any more than 10-12 reps than you need heavier weights. And when that weight does become easier... which it will.. you NEED to increase to keep challenging your muscles.

What about the bench press weight? Unfortunately the 2.3kg dumbells didn't fit on the pole thing (not sure of the name) of old dumbells, so i could just use these with the bench press. Unfortuantely i couldn't use the bench press today as it's been raining all day and i have it in the garden and when it rains covered up with a sheet. :roll:

And to be honist with u Cassie im not too concerned about getting much bigger arms. arms are a decent size however i would like them to be more defined, so you can see it's muscluar and so that they look big even when not tensing. Is there anything you can recommend for this as there is still some fat on them or should i just stick to weight lifting and cardio.

Oh... totally missed the bench press weight. Looks good! If you want them to look bigger without flexing then you'll have to make them bigger... then they'll be even bigger when you flex them. What it will take to reach your goals (its magic really): heavy weights, time, consistency, protein, patience, healthy diet, time, limited junk food, patience, and time.

You're doing great friend! Keep it up! :mrgreen:

slice of extra thick bread (130 calories) and peanut butter.

Got in, lunch 2 slices of thick bread with peanut butter.

Might leave the bike cardio, been out done a fair amount of walking, however il see how i feel later, still unsure of what's best for me to do 2 or 3 times cardio a week :|

Dinner - half of a homemade pizza, jacket potato and spaghetti.

Diet doesn't look very good today.
Protein shake=Protein=Great! Although a solid source of protein is always best
Wheatabix=carb=good for breakfast
Milk=carb+little bit of protein= Good
Peanut butter=healthy fat= Good
Bread=carb=ok... not the best. Whole wheat bread is ok in moderation. If you are going to do bread slap some meat on it for protein
Pizza=carbs+saturated fats+relatively small amount of protein= BAD
Jacket Potato=carbs= Not even sure what this is, however after having the pizza not a good choice
Spaghetti=carbs+ Protein (assuming you had a lot of meaty spaghetti sauce on it)= not the best choice after having so many carbs.

Conclusion= Too many carbs and not enough protein.

Why do you need suggestions for protein powder? Are you not happy with the last stuff you bought? Is it still making your stomach upset? If you can tolerate it, i would just stick to the same stuff you bought last time. :)

Well, it's got better, but now and then does still make me feel sick, also for about 5 pounds more, i saw a tub which was about 2000g, but each serving may be about 90g im not sure, it was on a website like gnc or something.

Also when hungry trying to snack on healthyish things like bread, bannanas, fruit.

Day 72

Breakfast - 3 wheatabix with milk

Just before lunch had 2 egg sandwiches. 4 slices bread, 2 eggs.

Did 5 sets of 10 reps on bench press even though it's day off, i want bigger pecs, arms that actually look musclely (get last of fat off of them) and a 6 pack. You can sometimes see 6 pack very slightly.

Although it's been 72 days which is along time, i have seen some changes, but none that are major.

Is there anything i can do to improve, or should i continue with this routine, quite hungry so might have a protein shake soon. Will have to buy more powder soon aswell :roll:

Also is there anything i can do to improve performance for working out, for example i walked past the chin up bar on door and did a total of just 8 reps. However if i just did it flat without working out i would of been able to do like 3, also will do 4 sets of push ups soon, usually reps of 10.

I mean even if i had a biscuit or 2, a day or so would that affect me that much?

Dinner - can of meatballs (400 calories) in tomato soup, around 25g protein, 18g fat, with 2 slices of toast with peanut butter, i lvoe peanut butter, have it everyday :D

I just got a gnc pro performance 100% whey protein powder and love it, its fruit punch, mixes really smooth with water.

I use the water filtered from the tap not refrigerated water, if the water was too cold it wouldn't shake smooth.

Goor luck button boyee,

Oscar
