2 options:

1 - do more work in the same time frame (edt)

2 - do the same amount of work in less time (density)

that's part of this program here:

Depends on how much you are doing. If you're possibly not doing enough, increase the content in the 25 minutes. If you're slightly stringing the work out, and doing enough, then reduce rest breaks.

if it's 25mins without even doing one of the above then it's far too short, ecspecially for fat loss

sounds like you're trying to do too much at one time, I thought you were trying to add muscle?

Laurie1, I am a personal trainer and I can tell you from years of experience that there is no magic number of reps, sets, or rest. 25 minutes is plenty of time for a fat-loss, weight-training workout. The key is to make it high-intensity: you should be working out at about 90% of your capacity for at least 60% of the time. That means that for 15 minutes of your 25, you should be wondering if you will be able to keep going. I like to work super hard for 3 minutes, concentrating on total-body movements (like squats, lunges, pushups, pullups, and various olympic lifts), then take 2-3 minutes off. Also, if you want great abs by summer, nutrition is one of the most important things you can do. Make sure you are burning more calories than you take in every single day.
