if you do weights to lose body fat are you suppose to keep the rest period between sets short if you do how many seconds ?
are you suppose to do alot of sets ?
and what is the best rep range ?

if it's 25mins without even doing one of the above then it's far too short, ecspecially for fat loss

Laurie1, I am a personal trainer and I can tell you from years of experience that there is no magic number of reps, sets, or rest. 25 minutes is plenty of time for a fat-loss, weight-training workout. The key is to make it high-intensity: you should be working out at about 90% of your capacity for at least 60% of the time. That means that for 15 minutes of your 25, you should be wondering if you will be able to keep going. I like to work super hard for 3 minutes, concentrating on total-body movements (like squats, lunges, pushups, pullups, and various olympic lifts), then take 2-3 minutes off. Also, if you want great abs by summer, nutrition is one of the most important things you can do. Make sure you are burning more calories than you take in every single day.
