HOME GYMS

Post by gotto1 »

I'm 62yrs old in body, butmuch younger in mind.

I love challengers and current goal is to ride 20k.

I now wish to get in better condition, can't afford a gym.

Interested to hear from other people who have used a home gym effectively.

Circuit trainer? They can be good.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter what you do. Bodyweight, home gym, gym membership... any of these can yield amazing results or kill you.

Depends on how you do them.

I have a Concept II rowing machine. It is light, easily stowed and works legs, back, arms and shoulders (not so much on the shoulders).

It is a commercial grade piece of gym equipment that should last a long time.

To that, add some pushups, pull ups, abdominal work and some light dumb bell work and you will have a complete workout.

62! Finally there is someone here that is older than me (60).

Have you thought about investing in some simple free weights, bench (that can incline and decline), a door frame chin up bar, and a jump rope? If you shop around I bet you could get these for a couple hundred dollars.
