OK Swanso i will eat closer to workout time and then do weights and try for 10 mins of HIIT. If the treadmill is too much I may try doing HIIT on the bike and work up to the treadmill.

Ive got some spare time today and am taking son swimming at the gym so am gonna do 20 mins of HIIT first. :)

Haha. Terrible eh? At gym you take your own padlocks and at least once a week i see some1 who has locked their key in their locker. Oops.

If you look forward to the HIIT sessions each time then it is probably OK. If you find that you are forcing yourself to the sessions because you "just don't feel like it", then that is usually a sign that you are doing too much.

I am in the middle of a week off because the last 3 sessions of cardio seemed like a drudgery (I usually enjoy the work). I am sure that when I re-start on Monday the drudgery will be gone.

You should "listen to your body" and let it tell you when you need some time off. Signals include the above mentioned "drudgery" and also any series of aches and pains that seem new. If you find that you need more than one week off in 6 weeks then you are certainly training too hard.

One or two days off never rejuvenates me; I force myself to take the full week off. Usually travel trips for work attend to that needed rest, but I have not had to make a trip in 3 months, so now I am resting.

30 second walk
30 second sprint
30 sec walk
1 min spring <---- what is this?
Im only repeating 4 times though. Is this not enough?
I do it after weights and i just feel wasted after 10 mins or so of doing HIIT. Im sure i will work up to more though. Im doing this 3-4 times a week.

Probably a typo for "sprint".
