The nutrition is definitely something im working on. Its a matter of trial and error at the moment. Im thinking of eating a bit closer to workout time, even as little as 30 mins. I just get so wiped out. Im also gonna get a blood test just to eliminate medical problems.
I work 3 7.30am till 9pm shifts a week. I then workout for 3 days and have a days rest (if you call doing all cleaning, ironing, washing etc etc resting). I do try to walk as much as possible but that isnt really intense enough for me. I had an exercise bike at home but i didnt have the time or the energy to use it on top of gym days.
If eating before the workout doesnt help, i have thought of trying doing the weights and then havin a banana/half a sandwich/flapjack etc, and then doing 20 mmin of HIIT.
So on 3 days workouts next week im gonna do the following to see what works, any other suggestions are more then welcome
1) eating a ham and cheese sandwich 30 min before workout and then doing weights and 15-20 min of HIIT
2) eating the sandwich 30 min before and doing 15-20 min HIIT then weights (and see if i am struggling more then doing it the other way)
3) doing the weights, then eating a banana etc (any ideas for best thing to have?) and then doing 15-20 min HIIT
After the week i will decide what method is going to be best for me.
