Nee help to build a bigger chest

Hi there
Ive only been weight lifting for 5/6 months now and i can see a mass difference in back, shoulders and arms but nothing in chest.
After a session in the gym working chest i can feel the muscle pumped up around the sides of chest (arm pit area) but nothing at the lower chest or middle chest.

does anyone have any exercises that will help bring on lower and central chest

There is no magic exercise out there, find a workout program that has been suggested on here such as the waterbury method by chad waterbury and try that. You can't get a big chest unless you get stronger so keep eating and lifting.

you can't isolate parts of a muscle, you work all the muscle or none of it...just get stronger and bigger and you'll see changes

The main compound lift for chest are Bench Press Variation(BB DB Incline/Decline/Flat etc.).

does anyone have any exercises that will help bring on lower and central chest

lower chest is a sticking point too as is the middle (cleavage area) of chest. I was told that close grip dumbbell bench presses will really fill out that portion. For lower pecs, dips and decline barbell bench presses are the way to go. I've incorporated those into chest workout and hope to see results by the end of the summer (not so flabby to the touch, if you remember the thread I started).

no.

You can train chest, training lower chest doesn't really exist. Lift heavy, with heavy compounds exercises, eat your meat and rest and don't worry you'll have a super sexy tick chest.

you can't isolate certain muscle area's...you work it all of you don;t at all...curves, definition, tone, whatever is attained through appreciable muscle mass with little , it's that simple mate

Really? Well then would it be more accurate to say you are attempting to stimualte more growth in that area? Lots of exercise manuals say differently. Why would books mention that it's important to hit the chest with incline, decline, and flat bench moves? If I did flat bench all the time, I would definitely not be doing a complete chest routine. What I am saying is that I am working the chest from more angles now and I expect to see a difference.

Yes Because if you only do flat one, you're overtrain a bit the movement leading to less result than doing incline and flat during the week. Or flat and dumbells. that's not the fact that you hit different chest's parts but more the variations of the exercises that leads to a more efficients way to train for a bigger chest muscular chest.

But if you do one time a week an Heavy flat bench Press paused, you will have outstanding results too ...

chris is right, training the same movement over and over will lead to overtraining...the main point of "training from different angles" is to train different movements, not the actual "angles"...if the manuals are so right then what are you doing here???
