Need help with loosing weight!!

Post by vally »

Hi! I really need help with program and a lot of advice on how to loose 13.2 lb by summer, meaning June. I was supposed to add some pics to this message for you to see what body looks like, but i didnt know how to. I'm about 150 cm tall and 151.8 lb. I'm not skinny and goal isn't to be too thin. I just want to loose some weight, especially in problem areas, which are middle section, weist and lower back. I have been working out for about 6 months and i have gotten some result which are not that clear yet. I workout almost everyday at the gym. i ahve tried cardio and weight lifting but it hasn't given me the result that i've wanted. Now i have been trying this new thing, where i do cardio for about an hour at the gym. I also go to bodypump and pilates eveery once in a while so i'd like to include them to program. So in gym there is Bodypump on Saturdays and Pilates ond Sundays. Can you bild workout program aourn these please? I need some serious advice on what to do to get real results. Can you give me a workout program for a week that i can really get reasult with. friend is trying out this program called the waterbury method, but she says it might not be the best thing for me, and i also agree. What do you think?

When it comes to eating i have been to a so called "nutritional therapist" and she made me a eating program that i have been doing since then. So i do eat healthy and regularly. Can you give me some tips on this also.

I really appreciate your help because i have tried almost everything and nothing has really worked like it should have. I need help from an professional who knows what he's doing.

Hope i made some sence and once again, thanks for you help ! :D

best fat loss things - compound wt exercise, sprints, jumping, solid protein, veg, salad, fruit

not do good fat loss things - 1hr of cardio, bodypump, pilates, trainig everday,

- i think the waterbury method mixed with some interval training sessions (which are built in the program anyway for memory) is exactly what you need...you two should train together to create some competitveness

- can only give tips on your food when we know what your eating and when

what i eat:

Breakfast, 05:15
1dl of plain yoghurt with 1- 1½ of full corn flakes in it
one cup of black coffee

07:00
i drink another cup of black coffee at work (so i'd wake up)

08:45
one cup of black coffee (again :D)
200g of cottage cheese
or
200g of none fat yoghurt + one slice of rye bread with cheese (6% fat) and a turkey slice

11:30
one cup of black coffee
about 300g of vegetable soup (= green beans + onion + carrot + cauliflower) + one slice of rye bread with cheese (6% fat) and a turkey slice
or
about 400g of vegetable and meat/chicken (½ chicken leg) soup
or
tuna salad (about 50g of macaroni + tuna (in water) + feta cheese)

13:45
one apple
or
one carrot
or
about 50g of grapes

15:30
two slices of rye break with 1-2 slices of cheese (6% fat) and 1-2 slices of turkey

19:00 - 20:00 (after the gym)
about 200g of rise and gravy (usually the gravy consists of vegetables and some meat) + one glass of milk (none fat)
or
about 200g of vegetable soup + one slice of rye bread with cheese (6% fat) and a turkey slice + one glass of milk (none fat)

what about sweets? how much and how often is it possible or "good" to eat?

friend recommended this page for me so she has told me about her program and what was recommended for her. swanso5 you said that i should try the waterbury method so i wil and she promised to help me with it.

Could you help with the weekly program. friend does days 1,2 and 3 of the waterbury method and i have seen her program. I also go to bodypump on saturdays but i can't go to pilates on wednesdays (its stage two of pilates and i don't even have time to go to the gym on that day) but there is one class of pilates on sundays that is stage one and i could go to that one. So question here is, how do you think weekly program should be like if i go to bodypump on saturdays and pilates on sundays and have at least wednesday and one another day off? Which days of the waterbury method should i do?

thanks :)

- add fruit to breakfast
- you need a more high fibre cerial than corn flakes
- just the one coffee will do
- you need protein with every meal so add to soup if you have it
- also add some protein to 1.45 meal and cut out fruit after 2nd or 3rd meal
- take bread out of 3.30 meal and replace with veg / salad
- may need another small meal before training, 5hrs without eating (as well as exercising) is too long
- add a protein shake straight after training
- add bread from other meals to dinner for recovery...or pasta or rice...if your gonna have bread, pasta or rice, now is the time to have it
- i think you know about sweets, limit as much as you can

I'm a coffee lover too. One major cause of fatigue is not being well hydrated. I think you could lose some of the coffee if you drank more water. Also, your body is better able to metabolize stored fat when you are well hydrated.

I would cut down on the cheese as well. Katie made a good point that replacing it with some good fats would be very good for your body. At first glance it looks like your diet is probably too high in fat.

Think about balancing your meals with a good carb source, a lean protein source and a small amount of good fats.

As for the sweets, the less you eat them the less you crave them. But having a sweet treat once a week is not going to hurt.

You should need to take light food in evening time and drink 4litre water
in daily routine. If u take heavy food and junk food ,stop it.If u tale bowled vegetables, you feel within month good.
Give up to take meat, egg, burger, pizza. It is difficult but help to reduce weight and cholesterol.

I'm not fully sure what you're implying.

There's two types of Cholesterol. LDL bad. HDL good.

Yes Eggs have some LDL in tme, but also things like additional protein, Fat soluble Vitamins, Minerals, and lutein, so 1 a day won't harm, and Egg whites are Very Healthy.

Meats, may have a bit of Fat in them, but you can always cut Fat off the sides, before or after cooking.

Burgers and pizzas, yes if they're from a fast food outlet, they should be abolished or severely cut from the diet.

Though some people make Burger at home, and some can be a lot better when they're made with ingredients fast food places don't use.

To a certain exent though you are right, and moderating calories from certain sources is importnant for weight loss.

So Boss Man what are you suggesting concerning the ingredients for a home made burger? As I try to eat less meat I had a veggie patty today (in a restaurant). But then I checked how many calories I gain with the patty: even more than with a Whopper with meat!!! Can these figures be true: http://www.calories.info/food/fast-food ?
