Hi Swanso, sorry I did't understand the figures or may be I'm dumb or may be I need another session on understanding nutritin
I'm even finding hard to understand the Nutrition Facts mentioned on the boxes of Food items. Confussed between "Amount per serving" & "% Daily Value"...How to co-relate these?? I guess its very important to undertand. Once I or anyone understands it will be easier for me/him/her do calculations in mind quickly & will not have to note down or keep track of wht Im eating in day to day busy life......
Could you make the following more simpler to understand & elaborate further in bit more details..I Appreciate for all your prompt replies..!
protein - 30% or 750 cals / 188 grams when at 2500 cal's a day
carbs - 50% or 1250 / 313
fats - 25% or 652 / 72
food labels - look at the amount per serve but also look at how many serves are in the package so you don't consume more than you think you are
i will use protein as an example but it is the same for all 3 of them...
30% of your total calories should come from proteinwhich equates to 750 calories...as there are 4 calories per gram of protein this will equate to 188 grams of protein per day when reach your target of 2500 cal's a day...until then, whatever your calorie totals are ( which will change every week i'd say if your gradually increasing calories as bossman suggested but it doesn't have to perfect just around the mark) keep the % of total calories listed in previuos post
protein - 30% of total cal's
carbs - 50% of toal cal's
fats - 20% of total cal's
