I wish I could claim that all of that loss was from diet and exercise, but I can't.
I had surgery a week ago, and will be going thru some treatments in the next few months to address an issue that was found.
I know that all training and crossfitting has prepared me for what lies ahead. I am strong and determined and will face it all with the best attitude I can.
I don't really want to go into exactly what it is that is wrong with me. I prefer to stay positive and helpful to others here on Shapefit, not bring personal life and struggles into the mix.
So....rest assured, tho' I may not post as often, I will be checking in and reading posts and journals, keeping up with friends I've made on here, and as always encouraging newcomers as they begin their own journey's to health and fitness.
I would just like to say to anyone reading journal, or to anyone who is struggling with diet, food, working out, etc. that please, if you need encouragement, if you need help, keep reaching out to others. Shapefit forums and the people here are great and supportive. But in the end, it all comes down to you and what you are willing to do to make changes happen for real in your life.
I would say - don't waste another minute of your life, don't let another day go by making bad food choices, laying off of exercising.
Life can change in an instant, always live your life to the best you can, in your decisions about what you put in your body, about your attitude, and about your fitness. Life is too short, time passes too fast to waste a second of it on putting off what you could be doing today for your health.
There are so many things in this life we have no control over, so do something about the things you do have control over. If you know something is bad for you - don't' do it! Simple as that, it really is. You have a choice, you have the power to make changes in your life right now, today. Do it and never look back. Don't wake up one day and realize that the last 10 years have been a constant battle of gaining, losing, trying to get fit, trying to do this, do that. Make the decision today to stop that cycle and begin to embrace the strength you have inside to make the changes needed to stay on the right track.
Peace to all.
