ok here is a problem iv been thinking bout some time, im into second week of bulking up but im not sure if its what i want, basically i duno wether to bulk up or to get ripped, basicaly i would like a body as seen in American Psycho, to get this would i need to bulk up or need lean muscle, if you need a pic of what he looks like in AP there are loads on google. also if you need stats for reason here they are:

height: 5'11
weight: 126lbs

i do naturally find it hard to gain weight, at the minute im doing weights 3 times a week, eating 6 meals a day and starting cardio 2 times a week, basicaly i want muscle but it to be well defined.

- that bloke would have looked like that for probably a week peaking for that scene...it's more than likely not a sustainable look...same for brad pitt in fight club and any other actor in a role as such
- bear in mind you can't define what's not there and at 126pds and 5'11, a bit work probably nees to be done to buidl some appreciable muscle

ok so i should i carry on eating 6 meals a day and bulking to to first gain muscle?

- should be eating 6 meals a day no matter what yuo're trying to do

ok im also starting cardio, should i keep that to 2 times a week?

ok, so i could do running one day then skipping another or just jogging on both

but if iwas looking to get a similar physique how would i go about it? build muscle first then lean up?

depends where you are now... geberal rule is that if your over 147 than leaning down to 8 - 10% should be your goal before trying to bulk...also experience will have an effect becuase if your only just really starting out in the game you can build muscle and lose fat at the same time initally

as soon as you lose site of youtr abs than lean back down until you can see them and repeat

yeah aim for about a 3 - 5pd gain each time and than probably lose 2 - 3 for a 2 - 3pd gain each time
