The reason I'm on here was to get help. You guys are talking about over training this and why you don't like HIt that, yet you didn't make any suggestions on how I could balance out the routine. What would you recommend I drop? What would you recommend I implement? I would like some help here.

All right, now taking into consideration RK19's suggestions I am planning next routine. I was initially implementing more compound exercises but I don't know if I have a decent balance. So heres what I was thinking: Squats Deadlift Bent-over row Lat pulldown Straight-arm pullover Bench press Militar...

bent-leg deadlift vs. stiff-leg

So I'm incorporating deadlifts into routine. I haven't done them for like 2 years and was wondering which is best for starting up again? These will be accompanied with squats.

Well I already hate squats lol. Its the best worse exrcise. Is there any difference in using the cross arm vs the clean grip? I heard that clean grip helps with wrist flexibility and is a bit easier in the long run.

Front Squat do wonders for tall people too ... If your goal is purely hypertrophy you should try both back and front and choose, but you'll see that the front squat for quads/core development is awesome. I never thought about that...in fact I've never tried front squats lol, maybe I'll give em a wh...

squats for tall guys

Hey I will be implementing squats in next routine and am dreading it. I'm 6'3'' and back in the day when I used to do them it was so hard to go parallel to the floor. I know as I go on I will get better, but starting off again I was wondering if anyone knew of any good techniques that can make this ...

fair enough, just keep the exercises that end in "curl" and "extension" to a minimum. Yeah I get what your sayin, I understand that compound exercises are far superior. Thanks for the tips. Could you please share which exercises are compound ones, besides bench presses and squat...

I'm not looking into becoming a super sized body building macho machine, I just want to be a bit more fit, and so far I have succeeded. Also this is simply a beginning routine to kind of get me back in the mix of things. I will be implementing deadlift/squats/pulldowns/dips in the next 2 routines, a...

HIT workout

Lets see if it fits. Not sure if many are too familiar with the high intensity training methods founded by Arthur Jones. But I have recently discovered it myself and decided to put it to the test. Years ago I was doing the regular routines such as 4 sets each exercise at 6-8 reps, things like that. ...

In experience when people say they feel they can't get another rep in, they usually can do another 2-3 more. How many reps exactly can you do until you feel too wasted to go on? We talkin 3-4 reps or 4-5, what?

Yeah I also agree with Swanso. If you seem to be stuck on the same weight try going up a bit and you should be able to pull off the extra resistance. Not sure about others, but for me, first starting new routine I would go up in weight about every 2 weeks until I started using heavier weight, now it...

heavy leg extensions bad for knees?

Howdy fellow weight-lifters! I have been doing leg extensions for going on 11 weeks now. When I started I was at 145, now Im at 210. The problem is, when I rached around the 180+ area I would feel some pain in knees the next day. Ever since its the same thing. I feel pain the next day, but the day a...
