I am not even sure that's the right term!
Okay, since I started exercising one month ago, i have lost some fat from hips for sure. I can see a different, but not so much in stomach is UNUSUAL. I always lose weight from tummy first, and it quickly gets "smaller". This time, it's not, but stomach is pretty hard. Not 100%. I know I have quit some muscles there, and I think muscles are the one that are "popped" out. I am not sure if that's possible even?
Instead of the muscles forming inside and toning, I feel they're muscle-d out, than in!
And it's not just lower ones, upper ones too.
Plus, after I EAT anything........I get WAY fat-looking. It looks like i gained just 2 kgs, even if I had a healthy meal. stomach is always so bloated with anything I eat. IT's very frustrating, and it doesn't always go slightly back in the next day =S
I did lose weight for sure though. It shows on face, the scale, and the hips...not the tummy!

Re: Stomach is so bulgy?
Sorry to hear about the bulge. I have had this problem before, and the only thing that helps me is by cutting back on sugar and starchy foods. Have you tried that?
I just joined nutrisystem and its helped shrink tummy even without exercise in the ab region. The foods are packed with fiber and protein, plus you have to eat a lot of veggies and fruit. Somehow I feel like its "Flushing" the bad stuff out of body and making me appear leaner in the gut area.
I am not expert in this topic, but this is what has been working for me. Good luck dear!

I am not sure I have a lot of sugar anymore really. I may have some every now and then, but not daily, and not a lot.
What are the foods you eat that have a lot of fiber/protein in them?

I think greentinkle is on the right track. Getting rid of stomach fat has a lot to do
with diet and nutrition.
Also hitting the abs from different angles helps to hit those problem areas.
ShapeFit has a good list of ab exercises to choose from here:
http://www.shapefit.com/training-abs.html
Also I have found personally found that drinking more water helps with overall better health
and fat loss for different reasons. Experts say you should drink at least 1/2 your body weight in
in fluid ounces of water every day. So if you weigh 100 pounds for instance, you should drink
at least 50 fluid ounces per day of water.
Sorry for being too lazy to convert the measurements but I hope this helps.

Thanks for the adivce. I am actually unfamiliar with ounces and still trying to figure way around it. I usually drink about 2L a day, and I weigh 53 kgs.theinvinciblej wrote:I think greentinkle is on the right track. Getting rid of stomach fat has a lot to do

Okay...I saw this post...and it's probably WHY I have a big bugly looking stomach
http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthrea ... =121463991" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
If you scroll down the page you'd see a picture of a "normal" spine, and one that's more curvi-ish.
Could that be problem because body shape looks A LOT like that from the side....
any tips will be helpful! Thanks!
