HIIT Training
Well i've been doing HIIT training for 2 weeks now, every second day.On a treadmill I warm up for 5 minutes at 10km/hr(6.2miles/h) then doing 1x 60 seconds at 18km/hr (11.18miles/hr) which gets me up to around90-93% heart rate then 4km/hr(3.6miles/hr) for about 2 minutes where heart rate gets down to around 65-69% max heart rate. I do this 4 times at the moment, but am trying to build it up.Then warm down for 5 minutes at around 10km/hr. So far i have lost 3kgs and i put it down to HIIT, as i have been running steady state for over a year and not been able to get though sticking point. This is the only thing i have changed in workout routine. It is hard work, as you must run hard for that minute, but i am seeing results.
