Good diet for a vegetarian?
Hi everyone! I'm a vegetarian and I'm trying to lose weight and get fit. I've begun a workout routine, but i needed some good vegetarian diet plan suggestions. Thanks

Well your Protein intake is going to be fairly limited, but here are some suggestions.
Soybeans or Tofu, (Soybean Curd).
Egg Whites, and occasional Yolk.
You can have things like Peas and Rice, and you can also have them together if you like.
Skimmed Milk
Low Fat Yoghurt
Fat Free Cottage Cheese
Nuts, (low Salt kind)
Most kinds of Beans including Chickpeas
This is quite a good product if you can get it. It's called Protein 90+ Vegan, which is a protein powder made by the Nutrisport company, if you can get it, it might be worth your while.

As examples of how to add these kinds of things to your diet, you can do things like this.
Scrambled Eggs, 5 Large Egg whites and 1 Yolk, as a Breakfast, or a Bowl of Wholegrain Cereal, and Skimmed Milk, as Wholegrain Cereals have some Protein content, which would boost the amount in the Milk you use
Omelettes, same thing 5 Large Whites 1 yolk. Could be done as a main meal
Yoghurts and Nuts as a snack.
Soybeans / Tofu, either could be had as a main meal or Lunch
Beans either as a main meal, or maybe in some kind of Salad.
Cottage Cheese as a night time aid against Catabolism.
If you need to check any other potential Protein sources out, you can access this website link, from board. The listed site has a nutritional data thing, which you will find has a Protein content section, and the main part works like a search engine, the different foods come up in a flash.
Excellent site, and very easy to use.

Lima beans also is hight in protein, like in meat. If you want to boil it, let it soak overnight, then boild with a bunch of water, letter the steam out because lima beans has something that's bad (like toxic) for you but it will go out with the steam. Forgetting exactly what the bad stuff is but google ibout lima beans.
