yes, I know for a fact (and past personal experience) that alcohol affects your weight (and many other things) dramatically.

Alcohol, weight gain and nutrition
There are almost 200 calories in a large glass of red wine!
At 7 calories per gram, alcohol is stuffed with more calories than many foods. That's just for the alcohol content, mind you – any sugar in drinks comes on top of that.
Added to this, alcohol stimulates our appetite but reduces our self-control, making it easy to eat too much – so drinking could be a much greater source of weight gain than you suspected.
Someone who drinks heavily may be over-weight and yet malnourished, replacing food with alcohol. What's more, once alcohol has damaged the liver, the body can't process the food we eat properly. This means less essential nutrients for our bodies to use.
I do not judge anyone for their choices they make, we all choose the path we take in life. You are young and may not understand (or realize that you should) the long term effects of the life you are choosing to live. PLEASE take another look at what you are asking:

answer would be to lose the lifestyle. I don't mean that in a offensive way. I look at your profile pics and I am transported back to a time in life where I and many of friends (many who are no longer with me on this earth) walked a similar path....and I can tell you for absolute certainty that it will not end without you reaching a point either through illness or tragedy, "rock bottom" to wake up to the senselessness of it all. I would hate to see anyone have to get to that point.
The fact that you have reached out here is a
HUGE encouraging step you have made. I am proud of you for that

You are a beautiful young woman with unlimited potential to become whatever it is you desire, don't limit yourself.
If you want to lose weight, you have to get control of your life, not let outside influences (friends, family) continue to pave your path for you.
Excessive drinking and smoking will never help you to become healthier and there is no healthy diet for you to try while you continue to do the other.
You have to get real and look at it with clear eyes. There are alot of helpful folks here who through their own experiences with smoking, or weight gain, or exercise issues that have OVERCOME these things and know from experence how to help you, that can and will help you.
There are alot of ways to improve. First begin to exercise, just doing the standards will help alot (sit ups, push ups, pull ups, jumping jacks, daily walking, stretching, etc.)If you are constrained to eating what your dad brings home, then encourage him to buy healthier versions of frozen foods. maybe you could go with him and pick out healthier options.
Please don't give up, or take offense to anything I have said, I just want to help you see that you have all the tools it takes to lose weight and get healthy, and with a few changes in your life, you will have success.
Good luck to you!
