Building muscle

Post by Laurie1 »

How comes it takes several workouts to build muscle, after tearing down your muscles from a workout wouldnt your muscles repair bigger and stronger after 1 workout or does it only get a little bit bigger after 1 workout but not enough to notice ?

You got it! little by little by little, tear down and build up. Beginners see the biggest and fastest results and overtime it takes more to challenge your body to adapt and change, often due to routine and mental obsticles. Keep learning, keep working!

Cheers

Exactly. There certain factors that govern it though. Things like Diet, training, body type, sleep patterns, fluid intake, hormone production / Endocrine activity etc etc.

Though as stated, it's a patience game, and a learning curve, and also a bit of common sense sometimes, some of which is developed over time.

I'm sure most people would like to have a good solid workout one day, and then grow an inch of Bicep in about 72 hours, but alas it's not that simple, even for guys with a 1,000 ng/dl high end Testosterone level compared to people with a level like 400 ng/dl per se.

I'm sure even Cannibals, probably either store quite a bit of what they eat as Fat, or defocate a lot of it. I don't think you'll ever see a future Mr O winner coming from Borneo, though don't quote me on that, I could be proved wrong :P
