1. read diet and nutrition forum stickies.

2. find out what equipment is available to you in/out of your gym/home

3. talk to your football coach/perhaps gym teacher for advice, workout plans etc.

4. take body measurements and pictures and decide on your 1st step goals and a realistic time frame. Set a few longer term goals as well.

5. start reading about excercise and weight lifting!

6. keep coming with questions!!!!

Eat, sleep, lift!

Post by fitnessedu »

What you're asking is WAY too broad for a single forum post. I have an entire blog dedicated to weight training and nutrition (mostly geared towards building muscle/strength/power).

Check it out at http://fitnessnutritioneducation.blogspot.com. I'm sure that you'll find some useful information there.

But to point you in a very general direction, eat more calories than you burn, eat quality foods, lift heavy with proper form, and get at least 8 hours of sleep every night.

Good luck!
