Trying to up cardio...

Post by jadedlou »

Hi I am 5'1" and about 230 lbs. I have recently started eating right (about 1,500 calories/day if that) and working out regularly. I've been doing jumping jacks x 60
squats x 20
squat jumps x 10
and crunches (regular, each side, and lower) 15-20 of each
everyday

I don't really feel like this is working for me, and frankly....it's a bit boring...any suggestions?

Jumping jacks are probably to vigorous to maintain for a minimum of 20 minutes. I would try a cardio routine that you could work up to for 20 minute sessions.

A few training and weight loss tips

Post by DMauro »

Losing weight does not come easy. Speaking from someone who used to be 290 and am now 185, it's going to take time before you start seeing dramatic results. It also helps to break up your meals and space them out throughout the day. Keep working out but definitely push yourself at points in your workout too... for 30 seconds go hard on the treadmill and then ease up for three or four minutes... then go hard again. You never want to stuff yourself in one sitting. Also make sure not to eat anything after 8pm.

Keep up the good work! :D
