treadmill question

Post by JJjj »

Yes, I tend to overeat. But now I have 3 meals a day and 2 snacks and dont eat anything past 7 :30. Breakfast is usually a protein shake/oatmeal/or an egg white omelette, Lunch is always a salad with some kind of meat and vinegrette dressing, and Dinner is lots of vegetables with fish/meat. For snacks i have either cottage cheese with fruit or some raw veggies. But I'm just wondering if only doing half an hour a day is going to do anything for fat loss. Like should I be doing weights as well ?

It doesn't matter what time of day you eat, the body does not function by a clock. The body will use what it needs no matter the time of day. As far as you diet, consider adding some complex carbohydrate which will give you sustained energy. The oatmeal is great. An hour a day, I assume you speaking about cardio, is plenty and weight training would be beneficial as well.

THanks for the advice. The cardio is actually half an hour though.. it is an incline hill workout and it takes a lot of effort. Is that enough?

I think that is fine as well. Losing weight is caused by burning more calories than you consume in a day. You don't have to over do cardio.

Are you strength training as well?
