Post by MyChaoticPeace »

Hi :D ,
This is going to sound silly but I made the choice like a month ago to become a vegetarian (who still eats fish  cause I just couldn't give that up! lol) but I'm having trouble doing that and dieting at the same time :? any advice for me??

So Pesketarian eh?

Well you've got plenty of opportunities, htough owing to the Mercury in the Fish, I'd limit to 1x 100g portion a day low Mercury, or 2 x 50g low mercury per day.

With the 2x 50g, you can replace some of the Protein, with things like Lentils, Peas, Beans, Mushrooms or Rice, then allowing for the Carbs, just reduce the Carb source you have a little.

You alos have other Protein options, like Soy, Quorn, Rice, Mushrooms, Peas, Beans, Lentils, Peanuts and Low Fat Dairy, so you do hve optinos available.

You can always give your diet some added good calories from things like Soy, Peanuts, Flax, Omega Eggs, Nuts, healthy Oils and Seeds and Avocado.

So you can get a good amount of calories from 6 meals a day, allowing for Fruits like Tomatos, Peppers, Cucumbers, Veggies, and Whole-grain as part of your Carb options.

Thank you so much for the great advice. Sorry it took me so long to find it! Work went crazy and a lot of things started happening all at once. I'm back on track though and very greatful.

I fell off the band wagon for a while but I'm trying to get things going again so I can do this.

Please wish me luck. It's something I've wanted to do for a long time but I just didn't have the right drive. I feel like I do now! :D
