Opinions on this work out?

Post by brad_69 »

In accordance with what Swanso's been preaching about compound movements I'm depending more so on dips, chins, rows, cables etc.
One of new favourites is as follows:

Do 8 chins ups then 8 dips right after
7 chins 7 dips
6 and 6 etc etc
Then at the end just hang from the chin bar to stretch the lats for 15 seconds.

I do this with as little rest as possible between each and I've just added a 20 pound weight belt to the workout, and I'll move that up as I go since I'm new to dips and should put the weight up quick. Think this is a good work out? I'm liking it so far.

sounds pretty challenging, but as long as your not doing this every single day, im sure you will reap the benefits

don;t limit yourself to reps...try for 8 sets going 1 rep short of failure and than to absolute failure on the last set...if you're stopping at 1 on the last set and you could have done more you're not going as hard as you can obviously...8 sets might be too many if not resting as your cardio system may be taxed before your muscles are though
