son can't tense his right bicep...

Post by tannytupac9 »

15 year old son can't tense his right bicep. when he tries to do so, it just stays soft. He fell out of the window once when he was 3 years old. He was taken to hospital and xrayed etc , nothing was broken and later sent home. only conclusion is that maybe in the fall he damaged a tendon or somethin? (which ligaments/tendons etc are responsible for making biceps tense?) and also is there any way re correct this problem?

You may also want to explore if things like Massage Therapies, Acupuncture or Reflexology as examples, might be of any use.

Possibly your doctor could give more insights, into whether such modalities may of use.

Go to your General Practitioner or Internist and ask him to refer you to an appropriate medical professional.

It may be that he just requires some sort of physical therapy, but if a tendon was torn, then he might need some other treatment.

Does he have full use of his arm?

Can he bend his arm at the elbow?

If you put resistance on the hand as he tries to bend at the elbow is the strength of the right arm similar to the strength of the left arm?

If the strength is similar then I would think that there is nothing much going on, but it would be best to have a medical doctor make a determination.

A chiropractor is not a medical doctor in the USA. See your family physician for this.
