I'm female, 40s and I've been doing machine & free weights in the gym x 3 days a week for muscle gain. I want to lose fat. I do cardio (jogging, aerobics) 4-5 times a week also.
Anyway for the last 3 weeks I've plateaued at 140 lbs, after losing 25 lbs in the last 4 months. I'm doing sensible eating, getting enough protein and I try to do ~ 8 reps with heavier weights. Not too convinced about the benefits of more reps/lower weights, but I'm no expert.
I keep hearing about changing workouts to get the fat loss going again. And am wondering should I switch gym weights workout for the LesMills Bodypump (weights) classes? I prefer just doing weights in the gym but just in the short term, am wondering whether Bodypump might help rev metabolism up again.
BodyPump classes or Weights in the Gym for fatloss?

without knowing exactly what you do training and eating wise, never swap wts for anything, ecpsecially body pump...too many reps at too light a wt will make you fatter more than likely as the intensity is too low to even sustain your current muscle mass and once that decreases, so does your metabolism then so does your fat loss
