Hi,

Not sure I'm understanding this question correctly so I'll try to answer and if i'm misunderstanding please explain your question. If you hit your carb/fat target 100 calories before your total calorie target for the day simply eat the rest of the calories in protein... or just don't worry about that last 100 calories. Try not to overthink this whole carb/protein/fat/calorie thing. You don't need to be perfect with your calories every day. Just try to get around your target and you'll be fine.

No, working out does not reset your total calories for the day. Simply try to get close to your daily intake of calories and do your workouts as planned. Now, if youre going out and running marathons for your workout (which you really shouldn't be unless you're training for some kind of endurance event) then you will want to increase you calories that day to make up for all of those lost in the workout.

Hope this helps.

Recipes...

Scrambled egg whites (with one whole yolk) with mushrooms, peppers, salsa and a little fat free cheese sprinkled on top is good.

Another favorite is spaghetti made with spaghetti squash (its a large yellow squash you can find in most grocery stores. Simply cut the squash in half, scoop out the seeds, then bake or microwave until squash can be easily removed. Eat that with spaghetti sauce, lean red meat and whatever else you like in your spaghetti. Its a great low carb meal.

For baking, I just started using quinoa flakes and quinoa flour for cooking and i'm really like it. Last night i made some banana muffins with 2 bananas, 1/2 cup quinoa flour, 1/2 cup quinoa flakes, 2 eggs, 2 teaspoons baking powder and 1 teaspoon baking soda. Bake at 400 for 20 minutes or so. They turned out surprisingly well.

Another great one is stuffed burgers. Take lean red meat or ground chicken or turkey and put it in a bowl with chopped onions, olives, peppers (or whatever else you like) and mix in an egg, salsa, and fat free cheese. Form meat mixture into balls and bake until done. Very tasty and low carb.

Hope this helps. :)
