well i don't think you need to lose any more wt whicjh will make things hard...drop all direct arm work (bicep/tricep exercises) but keep all indirect arm work in (chest, back, shoulder work etc)
No its not the muscle. They havnt changed in size since i started working more. They are firmer but not smaller. I really do think I still have fat to lose.
I will do less direct exercises but I think maybe theres more i can do. Its depressing!
if it's basically lacking in muscle then you may need to ad in some direct tricep work then (assuming it's the back of the arm, a common one for chicky's)
if it's fat storage where everywhere else your good then it may be either:
1 - circulating progesterone levels being elevated
2 - a birth control issue...try switching or going off it and see what happens
3 - eliminate eating/drinking out of plastics, staying away from burning candles, peerfumes/colognes, aerosol air freshners, pesticides/insecticides
4 - try an anto estrogen/progesterone (omega 3's)
5 - try vitex agnus castus
6 - try calcium d-glucerate

see what training does first up, increase your omega 3's (fish oil x 6/day at least) and search up on the other points there
Hight Intensity Interval Workouts, help you reduce body fat. i mean so does weight lifting but its always nice to try something different, or you could mix it in.
Try hitting a speedbag. It gives an excellent upper body cardiovascular workout and tones your arms. It will build an impressive shoulder making the arms look smaller by comparison. It works the biceps and triceps and will tighten the torso.
A heavy bag is a good workout too, but it will take too much out of you for you to do enough for cardio work. It is more likely to cause an injury than hitting the speed bag (which causes almost no injuries at all).
Also, juggling will work the shoulders and arms and can provide a reasonable amount of cardio work (not as good as the speed bag, but it requires almost no equipment and does not make any noise).
The biggest problem with the speedbag is if your gym does not have one then mounting it in the house will result in huge amounts of noise that will disturb almost everyone. Other than that, a nearly perfect upper body cardio exercise.
after reading clare's message several times, I have come to an executive decision that she is fishing for a compliment. ha ha
in the event she is NOT fishing, i suggest laying off the delayed weight intervals and incorporate a high intensity stamina program, like a mini-crossfit, which incorporates nothing but body weight/core intensive training for short periods of time (20-30 minute workouts). You'll expend a lot of energy and perhaps cut down on your bulk. I think 5'4" 122 is ridiculous to think your 11" pythons are too big, but that just opinion.
Clare, I was seriously being sincere in a "joking" way. and by ridiculous i meant your arms at 11 inches don't seem too big at all. you seem pretty damn fit! the ridiculous comment was intended as compliment for sure, so again please accept apologies if it seemed otherwise. but try sugestion involving more core-intensive training (high intensity crossfit) like i mentioned though...may help. I think swanso's idea (keep all indirect arm work in your current workout but direct work out) is a great suggestion, too.
