Is there a middle ground? Bulking/cutting

Post by Bigboi118 »

Can u put on muscle and lose body fat % at the same time?
By Eating Clean, High protein, no crap food, Full body Weight training, and 3 days cardio (2 HIIT), can i lose body fat and put on lean muscle still?

Im not talking about bulking massively, yeh sure id like to get a little bigger, but not massive, but i would also like to drop some more body fat (i really need to find out how much body fat% i have).

Do u always have to bulk, then cut, can u not just eat good and build up by doin weights, and the cardio and healthy foods will help drop the fat?

I suppose i jus dont wanna bulk and get fat

you can but it's a long slow process to see a difference of either side..if you're patient then you can go with that but if not then focusing on 1 or the other is probably your best bet...there's a lot of light and shade in your picture here but bf looks decent, there's abs anyway...how do you look in the sunlight?

How slow of a process? I dont want to eat loads and basically get fat, to then have to work all the fat off. I like the diet i eat at the moment, still needs work, but I cant afford to buy much more food to bulk, unless i can find cheaper places

other concern was if i try to bulk, id probably mess it up and will jus get fat and not get alot of gains, coz i know i have all the determination, but as i dont know alot, and the only info i can find is researchin on the net (and then me interpreting it) i could easily mess it up.

Yeh that pic aint the best and in sunlight i aint lookin as 'cut' as i do there, its funny, ppl normally post a picture and say 'i wanna look like this guy'
well i took that picture of me, and thats what i wanna look like, jus maybe bigger chest and slightly lower body fat %.

Since starting, with no real 'im cutting' or 'im bulking' mindset, ive added 2 inches on the chest and lossed 3 inches on the stomach, so it is slow, but it is progress.

I just read a good article on this subject on t-nation 'Get Big Without Getting Fat by Chris Shugart' on the training section.

in that case you probably just need to refine what you're doing now then...i haven't read that article yet so i'm not sure what's in it (bit behind in reading but have 300 pages copy and pasted waiting for me)
