When I'm working out doing curls with dumbbells, pull ups or pull downs I seem to lose grip. fists open up and forearms start screaming. Whats the deal? I already use gloves. Should I use wraps? Any suggestions.
-you can use straps for pulling movements like chinups and deadlifts.
-or work on your forearms or wrists (reverse wrist curls etc....) or if you have "fat" bars at your gym, do "fat" bar holds. (just hold it for as long as you can then repeat).
gloves don't help with grip it's just for those who don't like callouses...if you can't hold db curls you're in strife too...wrist curls probably won;t help either...you need plate pinches, fat bar holds/exercises as suggested, newspaper screwing etc
I've got some hand grippers that have helped me with deadlift. grip held me back with doing the weight as I couldnt hold it as much as body could push the weight.
3 sets of 25 reps a few times a week.
can also do kroc rows which the same thing but db rows..even better thick handle deadlifts 3 x 25 except i'd do simple lockouts from mid thigh area to use a decent wt as well
