Cable training

Post by darkenvai »

The debate about free weights over machines revolves around the fact that machine movements are more static and therefore involve less stabilisation from other muscles.
I wondered whether cable exercises - where there is obviously more room for wobble - fell into the category of machines or free weights in terms of how much other muscles are used for stabilisation.

Still a machine based exercise, but shouldn't be overlooked. Depends on what kind of thing it is you're doing.
