If that portion of the lift is your weak point, then yes, it should help. If you're already excelling at the lockout, however, working it harder won't help. You'll need to work the first part instead.

Again, it depends on if the lockout portion of the lift is your strong point or not. If so, then yes, but if not, then no, it will be less.

im just having a little trouble lifting the bar off the rack.
in regards to the actual movements, theres no problem at all. maybe a little forearm work as well as lockouts might help?

So you can do the bench press just fine, you just have trouble lifting it off the rack?

If so, maybe you should work your shoulders. I use shoulders to unrack the weight.

Lockouts should help with that. Just press as far as you can, extended shoulders and all.

lockouts are great...even if you donlt need extra lockout strength they strengthen your connective tissue and gives you the feeling of heavier wts to come

you should really have someone lift it off for you if you can, not great for the shoulders putting it on/off the rack

not sure what forearm work will do...

you should be locking out more wt then normal benches or you need more tricep work/partial bench press work
