HR Lowering

Post by qtologist »

I'm 5'5" and 223lbs. I started off 243lbs about a month ago. sister is a personal trainer and says if heart rate is too high during cardio it is counter productive to weight loss. Is she correct?

So I followed her advice and lowered the intensity. ( HR was around 190 and she said I shouldn't be over 140.) Online HR calculator says I should be in the 115-140 range.

A month ago HR was about 140 when I was at 3.3mph with a 4% incline. Then I noticed that I wasn't quite reaching 140 after a while so I increased to 3.5mph and 4%. Now I'm at 3.5mph and 4.5% and I'm nowhere near 140.

Help me understand how this is changing so much in a month's time! What should I do?
