Trying to LOSE WEIGHT SUCCESSFULLY! Please HELP!

Post by dollfkd »

Hi, All! :D
:( I have been trying to lose weight for years! I am 18 years old, 5’6 and around 170 lbs. For the past few months, I’ve been yo-yo dieting. One minute, I’m eating exceedingly healthy and exercising approximately 3-4 times a week (cardio, strength training, etc.) then, the next minute I’m back to eating fried foods, drinking juice, etc. For once I’m eager to pursue a diet that works and I also want to begin working out again without quitting. I am miserable with body weight and I wish I can be around 155 lbs. I am looking forward to burning a great amount of fat and toning up. Spring/summer is around the corner, and for once I’d like to be fit. I have no clue where to begin. At the moment, I can’t meet the expense of a gym membership and/or individual trainer so I have no choice but to work out in the comfort of own home. I’m into work-out DVDS, YouTube videos, etc. :?
I am trying to lose fat around midsection, thighs, arms, etc.
Any responses will be greatly appreciated.

What meals do you eat, and what times?

You are recomended by shapefit to eat about 2400 calories per day, to lose weight, you should eat 500 less than that. So in one day, you should eat about 1900 calories. Try to stay away from junk food and fried foods. When your not surrounded and tempted by them, you'll find it much easier. You should eat about 6 meals per day with protein in every meal. Be sure to include fruits and veggies in your diet. As for exercising, I'd say start out doing 4 sets of 2 different upper ab exercises and also include an oblique and lower ab excersise in there as well. Train your abs 2 days out of the week and do cardio the other 3 days. I've been told HIIT Training is very effective but any cardio will probably do good. Make sure to challenge yourself and whenever your think about giving up, just remember what your doing it for. Keep yourself motivated! Good luck!

I have some workout videos on blog http://www.FatX101.com you can try. Most of the workouts only require a pair of dumbbells.

As far a diet is concerned, I would start slow. Make small changes like adding in veggies, fruits, nuts and lean protein sources whenever and wherever possible. I say add, because it's mentally easier to add things to your diet than to subtract.
