i was wondering, how does it work and what are the effects of isometric exercises? what kind of muscle training is it?

do they only work if u have lots of muscles?
good for sticking points through range of motion (middle part of bench press where you usually fail) and such...not the best for muscle gains though i don't think...never done them except as part of a vertical program
