Could be the water container, could be the type of water you're drinking, maybe if you're drinking the Tap water as well.
If you're Anemic it could be something to do with that.
As for the anemia, you really need ot be increasing things like your intake of Iron from diet, ot help, and alos the Copper, ot increase the way Iron is used.
You could also increase things like Vitamin C intake ot boost Iron.
If you're not keen on things like Red Meat then it doesn't matter, as you cna get such things from sources like Chicken, Fish, Nuts, Legumes, Whole-grains etc etc, you should be fine.
Women who are pre-menopausal need about twice as much Iron as men, roughly 14-15mg's as they menstruate some of the Iron.
Definitely need to think about the diet though, as you admit you're not eating enough, and obviously it may cause other problems in the future with things like Blood pressure, Bone density, Cholesterol etc etc.

Also metallic tastes in the mouth, can to knowledge, sometimes be related to eating the wrong things, or inhaling combustable substances, and I daresay trace elements in drinking water, as water can be prone in some instances, to contamination with things like Mercury, Cadmium, Lead, minor levels of radioactive or nuclear material and phosphates, and in some parts of America, used Medicines.
