Help with Lifting plan

Post by lewbag »

Hi,
I have been lifting weights for about 2 months or so and have come to enjoy it and decided i would like to be doing a decent set routine.
after a while i came up with one and i feel it could be tampered with to improve it .
i have roughly 50Kg of weight that can fit on bar ,i also have 2 dumbells
I am 6ft 3 ,85Kg and 16 years old

current plan is:

Day1:
3X5 Squat
3X5 Benchpress
3X5 Pendlay rows
3X5 Seated military presses

Day2:
3X5 Squat
3X5 Seated military presses
3X5 Pendlay rows
3X5 Benchpress

i alternate between the 2 of these and excercise every night
cardio and such is taken care of by playing soccer 5 days a week
(i never wake up with aches and pains in the morning :))

thanks
Dan

Although you rearrange the order of the exercises, you can't work the same muscles on back to back days, generally speaking. Both your muscles themselves and your nervous system will be overloaded and drastically harm progress. I just used a version of the Waterbury Method with great results, I would highly recommend it.

if you';re only 16 and been training for 2 months i';d lay off the ehavy stuff still

can you do"

20 perfect push ups?

20 perfect inverted rows?

10 perfect chin ups?

10 perfect single leg pistol squats?

a 2min prone ab plank?

a 45sec side ab plank?

no, then put those wts down buddy...if you can;t lift your own bodywt then there is no need for external wt to be added

ah, that sorta stuff or those exact excercises? Try it as written to be sure. If you're doing all of those 5 x a week at soccer, don't add more weights!

rest is more important then!

cheers
