Im just wondering howcomes most people here are doing long and boring runs when they can achieve the same results in a fraction of the time doing interval training?! It also increases your metabolism for upto 24 hours wheres a normal jogging routine can slow down your metabolism as the body has gotten used to the routine!
Furthermore i'd like to ask what the best nutrition to eat after a cardio workout of approximately 800-1,000 calories in 1 hour?
a lot of people don't know about it and high intensity intervol training isn't something you can do daily. a lot of people don't mind running for an hour a day, so they stick with it.
Short interval training is more of a fast-twitch muscle fiber workout. As the previous person pointed out, it therefore means that over-working the muscles on a day to day basis would do more harm than good to the body. As for losing weight, it will undoubtedly do the job in a faster time-frame. As for everything, what works for some may not be the right path for others.
its just personal preference. some people like doing long cardios reading or listening to music and stuff. interval training is mostly used by athletes and serious body builders IMO.
i dont care (and neither) should you how many cal's you burn in any given amount of time (how can you calculate that? that's right you can't) but fater cardio solid protein and veggies is best
Many people here do HIIT. I mix it up. Weights, HIIT, steady state cardio. You have to find what works best for you and your body. I alternate days, weight, HIIT, steady state.
